I am a descendent of Heinrich Haage…from what I’ve been told, he was a musician in the late 1800’s. My great grandmother’s name was Wilhelmina Haage and was born in Wolfstein, Germany. She was told her father, Heinrich Freidrich Haage, died at an early age of heart disease while traveling to Australia with an Orchestra. As I have been researching my family, I cannot confirm this story.
Can you put me in touch with someone who has information on this branch of the family.
Also, my great- great grandmother’s maiden name was Wilhelmina Berg. I know she had a sister in Kaiserslautern because my Great grandmother stayed with her when her mother went to the USA. Although, her brother did not. When he came to reunite with his mother, he put his Father’s name as next of kin on the ship’s register, but this would have been after his death. There is also Caroline, who was my great grandmother’s older sister.
Thanks for any help,
Jill
Hi Jill,
I found information on Wilhelmina Haage from Wolfstein years ago in the internet, but it was just some tiny bits, names or so.
I guess, the Haage-Family from South-Germany might be able to give you more details, in case they have Wilhelmina an Heinrich in the family.
Even as we have an ancestor Johann Heinrich Haage, we found no relations jet to the „southgerman-branch“
Best regards
